Introduction & our back story
Hello my name is Gaynor. I have lived in my home since 1996.
I have various animals - horses, goats and an alpaca plus two large dogs who are all part of the family.
In 2003 I created and built my first self catering holiday business on my land. Llys Hafod,a roundwood log cabin. I ran this business successfully for 14 years whilst working full time. I sold the property as a private holiday home in 2017.
In 2018 I commissioned some special shepherd's huts from a small local business and set up Cwtch@Hafod . I first achieved Visit Wales Gold Glamping status in November 2018.

In 2020 our little glamping retreat grew to include a luxurious log cabin "Mam".

In June 2021, I added another smaller log cabin "Tad", which opemed for bookings in September 2021.
​
In 2023 Cwtch@Hafod achieved our second Visit Wales Gold Glamping status.

Cwtch@Hafod is my full time micro business.

I love making a home from home for my guests where they will rest, relax and unwind.

The spirit of Cwtch@Hafod...

Hafod is the name of our home.
And "Cwtch" is a lovely Welsh word for hug.
It's one of those words that every language has that simply loses meaning on translation.
It's more than a "hug" .
It means a heartfelt big squidgy full of love comforting hug.
The sense is that everything will be better after a "Cwtch".
It has restorative magical powers. Making you feel better. Loved. Cared for.
And that's what we hope you will feel after your stay with us.
