Ynys Môn is the Welsh name for the Isle of Anglesey, our beautiful island off the north-west coast of Wales.Known for its beaches, rugged coastline, rolling countryside and rich Welsh heritage, much of Anglesey is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.Cwtch@Hafod is tucked away in the countryside near Brynsiencyn, ideally placed for exploring the island as well as the mountains and adventures of nearby Eryri (Snowdonia).

Cwtch is one of those lovely Welsh words that doesn't translate perfectly into English. It can mean a cuddle or a hug, but it also describes a cosy, safe and comforting place — somewhere you can retreat to, relax and feel at home.That's exactly the feeling we wanted to create at Cwtch@Hafod — a little place to escape from the everyday, surrounded by the peace and quiet of the Anglesey countryside.

I'm Gaynor, owner and host of Cwtch@Hafod. I live here at Hafod and have created Cwtch as a small, peaceful place to stay rather than a large holiday park.I look after the accommodation myself and I'm nearby if you need me, while giving you plenty of privacy to relax and enjoy your stay.You'll also see our 2 Spanish stallions and goat friend in summer in the fields adding a little extra character to a stay at Cwtch.

Dogs are welcome in Tad Cabin and Nain Shepherd's Hut.Mam Cabin and Taid Shepherd's Hut are pet-free.Please let us know when booking if you're bringing your dog.

No. Cwtch@Hafod is deliberately a quiet, rural retreat and isn't suitable for parties, loud music or lively group celebrations.We want everyone staying here to be able to enjoy the peace of the countryside, particularly during the evenings. If you're looking for somewhere for a party weekend, Cwtch probably isn't the right fit — but if you're looking to relax, explore and enjoy a quieter escape, you'll feel very much at home.

Our two cabins, Mam and Tad, each have their own private hot tub, which is included in the price of your stay.Guests staying in Nain or Taid Shepherd's Huts can add our jacuzzi-style hot tub to their stay for an additional charge, subject to availability. The hot tub is booked for the exclusive use of one hut at a time — it isn't shared between guests.

There is a 7kW EV charger at Tad Cabin, located within Tad's private garden and available exclusively to guests staying in Tad.Guests staying in our other properties can use a number of public EV charging points within a short drive of Cwtch@Hafod.

Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am.Where circumstances allow, we sometimes offer a later departure and will let you know during your stay if this is possible. During busy periods and back-to-back changeovers, however, we need the full turnaround time to prepare everything properly for our next guests.

We provide bed linen and indoor towels, along with tea towels, dishcloths and washing-up essentials.You'll also find tea, coffee and sugar waiting for you, together with a small bottle of fresh milk and a little locally sourced treat to welcome you to Cwtch.During the cooler months, we provide an initial supply of wood and firelighters for the wood-burning stoves.If you're planning to use a hot tub, visit the beach or enjoy watersports during your stay, we recommend bringing some additional towels.

One of the lovely things about our location is that you can enjoy the peace and coastline of Anglesey while having the mountains of Eryri within easy reach.Cross the Menai Strait and you're soon heading towards the mountains, making Cwtch@Hafod a great base for walking, hiking, adventure activities and days exploring North Wales — before retreating back to the quieter Anglesey countryside.

Absolutely. Mam and Tad cabins are particularly well suited to families.Nain Shepherd's Hut can accommodate a couple with up to two small children, who have their own quirky crawl-in bunk pods designed for children under 5ft tall.Taid Shepherd's Hut is our smallest property and is designed as a cosy retreat for two adults.

No, smoking is not permitted inside any of our properties. We ask guests to smoke outside and dispose of cigarette ends responsibly.
